Learn how to screen print

What will you learn?

This workshop is intended to give you a general idea of how screen printing works and if this is a technique you would like to add to your creative skills.

You will be given a short introduction into the materials required and a demonstration of how how to use them. We will then pass the squeegee to you. After a few test prints you will be ready to attempt your first t shirt.

What will you not learn?

When you flood the screen with ink at this workshop, you are entering the screen printing process almost at its' final stage. Many preliminary works (coating and exposing the screens, preparing the artwork etc.) and decisions (which mesh count, ink composition) have already been made for you.

If you are interested in learning everything from A-Z, this is possible. As the 'Z' tends to vary from person to person (are you rather interested in printing on apparel or paper, using water based or plastisol, monochrome or multi-color?), it is far easier (and certainly cheaper for you) to tailor an intensive course to your needs. Please send me a brief description of your ideas and needs and we can discuss details.

Where?
At our workshop, 2282 Avenue du Mont-Royal east.

When?
Please see schedule below and book as early as possible (if a minimum of 3 participants is not reached, the workshop will be canceled).

The workshop will take approximately 3 hours.

Who can take part?
Everybody over the age of 12. We may offer a workshop for kids at some point, but we anticipate it to be messy, so it will require some further planning.

How large will the group be?

Our workshops will have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 participants.
